- New pressed metal numberplates
- Sony bluetooth CD player fitted
- Original e28 steering wheel fitted in great condition
- Indicator stalk replaced
The car is an excellent example of a classic car that can really be used every day. It drives perfectly, starts stops and brakes exactly as it should. It has been in daily use during my ownership and has never let me down. The 2.0 straight-six sounds glorious and returns good fuel economy as well.
It was resprayed a few years ago in the original Alpine White with any rust removed from the car. The paintwork is certainly presentable but is not perfect, but there is no rust on the bodywork. The car is solid underneath having the rear jacking points renewed and i have just had the front jacking points professionally replaced with any rust removed and treated.
There are a few niggles that could do with sorting - the heater blower is noisy on full blast but works, I bought a distributor cap to replace but it arrived broken so haven't installed it, but it runs fine with the old one - I just wanted everything to be new. Front bumper chrome is a bit pitted; personally I like the patina of it. The car is 36 years old and only 4 years off of being tax and MOT exempt, so do not expect a new car.
