Since its release in 1976, the Music Man Stingray has been supported around the world as a standard electric bass model. Its sound is versatile enough to match a variety of music genres, making it a popular model used by many bassists.
A tribute model with modern improvements to the specifications produced in the mid to late 70's. Key specifications such as a slab body without contours, a back-through type bridge where strings are passed through the body back, and a mute pad are reminiscent of the early days.
Although it features the early Stingray, it also has modern specifications such as an easy access truss rod adjust wheel and 6-point bolt-on joint. The classic tone produced by Music Man Alnico pickups is still alive and well.
With its resonant bass, crisp midrange, and crisp treble, the Stingray strives for outstanding sound clarity, and has established a standard in the rock world.
The EQ has two bands, high and low, but there is no center click.
The EQ of the Stingray preamp from the 70's also didn't have a center click.
I also like the fact that it has been completely reproduced.
The best way to use it was to set both to 0 and increase it as needed from there.
Also, the knob closest to the bridge normally does nothing when turned, but when pulled up it switches to a passive circuit and functions as a passive tone.
If you think the Stingray's sound is a little too modern, this is the one you should try.
Exterior condition: Appearance has some minor scratch marks and signs of use.
