Don't you just love the look of the #1 Kathe Kruse doll?  This antique Kathe Kruse #1 doll is 16 inches tall.  For price reference see page #340 in the book, 'Doll Values' 13th Edition by Linda Edward.  He was made somewhere between 1915 and 1929.  Just imagine he is over 100 years old.  His cloth body is in good condition except of a small rip in the seam of his left foot (see photos).  He has had some repainting (professionally done) as examined by a black light - -  it is hard to see other then with the black light - and then it is very minor.  He has a wonderful hand knitted outfit made by a lady in CA about 40 years ago.  The outfit - dress, sweater, and hat are copies of the traditional style of Germany.  Notice the number on his left foot (see photo).  He has the traditional wide hips of the #1 doll.  He will make a great addition to any doll collection. The back drop and the flowers are not included.  From my home to yours.
