The young Les Paul worked on prototypes night after night at the Epiphone workshop in Manhattan at the time, and created "theLog," which is said to be one of the world's first solid-body electric guitars. The results of theLog were later reflected in the development of the Les Paul model, which is still coveted by many guitar players today as the finest electric guitar.
