Designed for commercial or domestic use, this 1 hour fire rated loft hatch provides a discreet high quality opening in your ceiling. The loft hatch is supplied with the a slimline invisible keyhole (SLIK) as standard and can be opened with the supplied tee key or from ground level with our extended tee key.
The door and frame are manufactured from 1.2mm Zintec electro-galvanised mild steel. The door is powder-coated white in RAL 9010 20% Gloss and can be painted over to blend in with the surrounding surface.
The loft hatch complies with all building regulations for insulation, air tightness, L1 & L2 NHBC size requirements with robust documentation.
The picture frame covers the cut edge of the structural opening where the surface has already been finished and decorated.

Note: You will need to make your structural opening width and length 5mm larger than the loft hatch you order to allow for fitting tolerance.

Installation
Prepare a clear trimmed and protected opening in the structure 5mm larger than the size ordered. Screw fix through the countersunk pre-punched holes with suitable screws to all four sides and fixing points.
Important: complete the operation with the door in the frame – do not remove the door – the pivot hinged door system must be fitted as a complete unit.
Operation and Maintenance
Using a tee key, push the SLIK invisible keyhole system aside, engage the key into the lock then open and close while supporting the door. The SLIK system springs back automatically to conceal the keyhole.
Avoid abrasive cleaning materials. Annually, or more frequently if used very regularly, check the operation, especially the hinge points and lock. Tighten or oil as required.
