MG 4 Fitting Instructions

Step 1: Remove the Wireless Rubber Charge Mat

1.      Locate the wireless rubber charge mat in the centre console of your MG4.

2.      Gently lift the mat from the console. It may feel stiff or fixed, but it should come loose with a bit of effort.

3.      Note that the mat has rubber plugs on the underside. These plugs will be used to secure the mat in place in the next step.

Step 2: Thread the USB Cables Through the 3D-printed Bumper

1.      Take the 3D-printed MG4 bumper and place it on a flat surface with the high side facing up.

2.      Locate the USB cables that you plan to connect to the wireless rubber charge mat.

3.      Thread the USB cables through the designated openings in the 3D-printed bumper.

Step 3: Position the 3D-printed Bumper

1.      Carefully lift the 3D-printed bumper and align it with the centre console of your MG4.

2.      Ensure that the high side of the bumper is facing you and the parking brake is aligned correctly.

3.      Slowly lower the bumper into place, making sure that the USB cables are not obstructed.

Step 4: Secure the Wireless Rubber Charge Mat

1.      Take the wireless rubber charge mat and position it in the centre of the 3D-printed bumper.

2.      Align the USB cables with the cut-outs in the rubber mat.

3.      Gently press down on the top of the rubber mat, focusing on the areas where the rubber plugs are located.

4.      Continue pressing until the mat is firmly seated in the bumper.

Step 5: Verify Installation

1.      Double-check that the wireless rubber charge mat is securely fastened to the 3D-printed bumper.

2.      Inspect the USB cables to ensure they are not pinched or tangled.

3.      Test the functionality of the wireless charging mat by placing a compatible device on the mat.
