This Uniden Pres Washington radio receives very well (pic1), and transmits well on all channels 1-40, PLUS a lot more due to the 858 chip mod. According to my not-so-great R-S freq counter, it goes up to 27.805. With the PA and NB push button switches out, you get the normal 1-40. When both are pressed in you get the 27.565 to 27.805. As I understand the mod, you will get a couple other similar ranges when one one OR the other button is pressed. I'll leave it to YOU, the new owner to figure it all out! The radio came to me already modded so I have no other details. There's a switch on the rear upper corner that's wired in (see pic 11), but I'm not seeing an effect on anything.
The last 2 pics show it transmitting (0-10 Wattmeter scale) on both AM, with upwards modulation, and in SSB modes.
Cosmetically, it's in nice condition showing just some minor wear, mostly around the tuning knob as you can see. Comes with original microphone, as shown.
Thanks to eBay's current draconian policies regarding returns, and parts changers, "renters", scammers, etc, we will no longer sell most items as working, but rather "officially" as parts, not working. The purchaser, upon receipt, might not agree as to my assessment of condition, but that's what it was HERE in MY opinion and it's being sold officially for parts or not working. It may or may not work at all when you get it! NO REFUNDS or RETURNS! If you don't agree to these terms DON'T BUY IT.
