Tiny Tail RC Electric Glider – Slope Glider – Free Flight Glider

Laser Cut Contest Balsa Wood with Carbon Fiber

The TinyTail boasts wings and wingtips meticulously crafted to adjust subtly to airflow, optimizing lift and countering gravity for optimal aerodynamic performance. With its generous wing area and reflexed wings and wingtips resembling those of red-tailed hawks, the TinyTail enhances laminar flow on its wing surface, minimizing drag for smooth and extended thermal glides. The carefully engineered washout wingtips help mitigate turbulence during flight, reducing air resistance and enhancing efficiency.

TinyTail as the name suggests, has a very small lightweight and aerodynamic tail design reducing drag for optimal glide ratio. With a gentle push throw, the TinyTail has the ability to glide effortlessly for many many yards. With the included bungee launching system, this Tiny Tail can be launched into the stratosphere hundreds of feet, providing the pilot an ample amount of time in the air to catch thermals and soar like an eagle.

Tiny Tail variants

Your Tiny Tail can be built in two different variants. RC version and a free flight version. RC version offers a 2Ch glider using 2 micro servos, one micro receiver and a 150mah lipo battery for power. The RC version will require a radio transmitter system. ( our receivers are Spektrum radio compatible ) If you wish to build your Tiny Tail as a stand alone free flight version with no electronics, this will be your choice. The free flight version is half the weight and glides endlessly with a simple push throw.

If you find playing Frisbee with your friends enjoyable, just wait until you experience playing catch with the Tiny Tail Free Flight Glider. Engaging in a game of catch is not only fun but also promotes trust, empathy, curiosity, communication, the creation of meaningful memories, and helps keep us grounded in the present. Check out the video flight sample below for a preview.

Wing covering method

You may cover the top 1/3rd of the leading edge with the provided lamination film as this will be mainly for ascetics. You may also omit the top lamination film and simply cover the entire top of the wings with the provided balsa sheeting. Again covering the top of the wing with film is optional and not required for this build.

To cover the top 1/3rd of the leading edge of your wings, a heat iron can be used. Mini heat irons work best with variable heat adjustment. Few brand names to choose from that may be purchased from ebay or amazon are: Clover Mini iron ii, Mini plancha para patch, Mini-Bügeleisen MB-3415, Ming Yang sealing tool Large heat iron/sealing iron will work as well, make sure to use low heat. Both irons must have cloth sock on head to prevent iron from sticking to lamination film. Regular cotton sock can be used.

To cover the bottom of the wings, light weight colored tissue paperis used and included in your kit.

While one might assume that constructing model airplanes is a challenging task, the reality is that building them is quite straightforward, especially with the help of our step-by-step video build guide. The building process only requires a few basic materials (sandpaper, glue, pliers, patience, etc.), and with just a few hours of dedication, you can become proficient at constructing your own TIny Tail Glider.Diving into building your TIny Tail can be an incredibly enjoyable and straightforward experience, especially if you've never constructed an airplane before. This is largely thanks to the step-by-step HD video build guide included with your kit. If you're adept at following instructions, this build is bound to be thoroughly enjoyable for you.
