Real Mama dance crest mask, representing a stylized buffalo head, made of wood, seeds and feathers, presented on a base. The horns form a circle, the muzzle is sculpted in projection, and the wood is covered with red ocher mineral stain.
The horns symbolize fertility, this mask is worn during festivals related to agricultural fertility and sometimes human fertility. The dance aims to bring prosperity to the tribe.
The ceremonies during which this type of mask is used are called Mangam.
