DO I ACTUALLY NEED A NEW WOOFER ?

Firstly it is important to know exactly what part of your speaker has failed!
If a 'tweeter' or 'woofer' is not working, first check your 'bi-wire' links (If using them)
Then substitute the non working drive to the same position on the working speaker,
making sure the speaker is NOT connected to any amplifier first!
(Also at this time check and ensure the crimps/solder connections are well made)
If the fault moves with the drive unit, then that drive would likely be the problem
(Check it with a meter or get someone to test it for you if unsure!)
If the fault stays with the same speaker/position, double check everything again
And then remove the crossover to check the exact model number and revision
(MAKE A NOTE (Or take a picture) of the connections before removing!)
If unsure PLEASE PLEASE ask FIRST and I will do my best to help in any way I can

** NOTE ** These are VERY delicate and mishandling WILL damage them ** NOTE **
NEVER place or store a drive unit face down as damage to the surround and spider may/will occur!
While I can provide detailed instructions on how to change them over

One (Single) Genuine Tannoy 4-Ohm Woofer in excellent working order
and very good physical condition, well formed surround with the spider sitting straight and
in the correct resting position. Electrically it has been sweep, spot and programme
tested with no buzz rattle or odd resonance

Construction appears to be a Composite cone with inverted dust cap,
Deep rolled rubber surround, plastic frame and 'possibly' (See below) vented pole piece?

The part number on this is unknown (To me anyway!) the number seen is only a production run number.
There may well be a number on the rear under the pad, I'm reluctant to move it to check as it may well
be covering a vented pole piece specifically applied for the MX3 application.

The details regarding size etc are provided (By me) as a guide to help determine if this
might fit another speaker in the MX'x' range or others.

D.C.R. measured by me is approx 3.6 Ohms so will likely be classed as a 4-Ohm 'nominal' unit
Approx overall frame size (Rounded to the nearest whole mm)
154mm Wide (A.F.) - Fixing centers on a 154mm P.C.D.
164mm (Corner to corner) - 136mm Cutout (Minimum you would need)

As mentioned above this came from the Tannoy 'MX3' but 'might'
(Carefully looking at the Size/Ohms given) fit others in the series

'Single' Tannoy 4-Ohm Woofer 'only'
If it's NOT in the pictures or mentioned directly above, it's 'NOT' included
(This means 'NO' Wiring or Enclosure etc!!!)
