This beautiful and unique genuine Canadian Ammolite gemstone was found  in the Bear Paw region in southern Alberta Canada.  Ammolite is an ancient fossil and is the world's oldest and most rare gem. Ammolite with the most beautiful color is found only in southern Alberta. 

This natural Ammolite was professionally finished in Alberta.  It has no resin coating nor coating of any kind.

Each pendant is completely unique.  You will never find another setting or gemstone exactly like this one.  The carefully hand wrapped setting frames the unique hand cut shape of this beautiful natural Ammolite.  Each step taken to create this piece, from mining to selective cutting and polishing, and ultimately to finished pendant, was carefully and meticulously done by hand by individual artisans.

This beautiful color changing Ammolite gemstone flashes fiery colors in shades of yellow, green, and orange.  You may or may not catch a glimpse of blue at various angles and lighting.

I have hand framed the Ammolite in solid 14K Gold Filled (14/20) wire. The pendant measures approximately 1 3/4 inches from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant.  It is 5/8 inch wide.  The bail is generously sized and will accommodate a variety of chain widths.

*Cleaning your Ammolite:

Ammolite is much like pearls and the cleaning recommendations for pearls also apply to Ammolite. Avoid ultrasonic cleaning.  You can clean by hand with a soft cloth, warm water and a mild soap solution. However, do not leave in water for any length of time (maximum 10 minutes). Make sure that your water is free of minerals that can leave deposits. Avoid contact with heat, acids, hairspray, perfumes, etc.  Cleaning will also keep your gold setting bright and beautiful.

I try to ship the same day as payment is received or the next business day whenever possible. 

*Please take into consideration when bidding that my photos are taken by an unskilled photographer......myself!    I try to take enough photos so that the pendant can be seen from several angles. The photos are all taken in medium to bright room lighting.  Some stones such as Ammolite and Opal which change color and brightness in different lighting and at various angles are particularly difficult to photograph and may also appear dissimilar on different monitors. Please ask any questions, carefully view all of the photos and read the description before placing a bid.  Photos do not capture all of the elusive color flashes or may record them incorrectly in Ammolite and Opal type stones.  For example, a deep rich peacock green or teal color in an Ammolite will often show as pale aqua in a photo. Ammolite often changes colors dramatically when lighting is changed or the stone changes position.  

It is important to know that Ammolite needs light in order to display its best colors. The light source, the angle and intensity of the light, and the angle of your view will all impact the colors and the depth of colors seen. As you turn the stone, it can go completely dark or completely explode into color.  The darker and more rare hues such as blue and purple may be, as would be expected, especially in need of good light to display their full beauty.

I will be happy to combine shipping when possible.  Please send me an email prior to payment if you would like to combine shipping.  Two pendants can usually be sent in the same package for the same shipping cost as one.  For combined shipping however, Ebay requires all items be paid for on one invoice at the same time.  So when you have finished shopping, please send me a message so that I may construct a combined invoice before you make payment. 

For US shoppers:  If you would like to combine shipping, you must wait to pay for your items until you are finished shopping.  Please send me a message to let me know your intent and so that I can construct a combined invoice for you.
