Application areas:
For short-term use in constipation.

Note:
The preparation should only be used if a change in diet or pure swelling substance preparations cannot achieve a therapeutic effect.

Dosage:
Adults and children from the age of 12 : 1-2 teaspoons of granules in the evening after meals. (5 g granules corresponds to approx. 1 teaspoon.)
The maximum daily intake must not exceed 30 mg of hydroxyanthracene derivatives, which corresponds to 10 g (= 2 teaspoons) of granules. The correct dosage for the individual is the least that is necessary to obtain a soft stool.
The granules are swallowed whole with plenty of liquid (1/4 liter).
After taking other drugs, an interval of 1 / 2-1 hour should be observed. Agiolax is best taken in the evening. The effect occurs after 8-12 hours.
Stimulant laxatives should not be taken for long periods (more than 1-2 weeks) or in higher doses without medical advice.

Composition:
5 g of granules (= 1 teaspoon / bag) contain: Medicinally active ingredients: Plantago ovata seeds 2.60 g; Plantago ovata seed coats 0.11 g; Tinnevelly senna pods 0.5-0.66 g equivalent to 15 mg sennosides.
Other ingredients: talc, arab. Rubber, iron oxides, paraffin, flavorings, sucrose (approx. 0.96 g, equivalent to 0.08 BE).

Indication:
For short-term use in constipation. Notes on the areas of application As with all laxatives, this should not be taken by patients with coprostasis (fecal congestion) and undiagnosed acute or persistent gastrointestinal symptoms such as B. suffer from abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting because these symptoms could be signs of an impending or existing ileus.
