Vintage tin with a gold appearance, curved front, and decorated with an 1800s lady in a hoop skirt or crinoline on the lid. The background is a pale gold color, and it’s overlaid with metallic gold floral motifs.m. Very lightweight, thin metal.


What appears to be a dent on front bottom edge is by design so tin can stand upright for display if desired. Made in England, in the 1950s or so, by The Metal Box Company. Lid is hinged. About 6 3/8” by 6 1/8” at widest areas by about 2 7/8” tall.


CONDITION:

Some small areas of wear, small scratches and scuffs, handling marks and normal vintage soiling, small and minor dings, some minor early rust, etc.

• Nice vintage condition on the outside, not a lot of wear.

• TIN IS LIGHTWEIGHT.

• Front side has manufactured flattening of curve on bottom edge so tin can stand for display.

• A few small worn areas on lid and some fine scratches.

• Light-ish patina inside, some stains, minor dings.

• Minor-ish wear on bottom, some scratches, and finish wearing off

• Hinges well attached, move freely. Opens/closes fine.
