Jack Jones, Everton &Northampton , 1936 Autograph Cutting on Card




 

Bromborough, Wirral born Jack Jones played junior football on the Wirral for Bebington in 1929, Bromborough Pool in 1930, and Ellesmere Port Town in 1931, before joining Everton in March 1932. 

Originally a centre-forward, he eventually became a full-back. 

He made his Everton debut in April 1934, in a 2-0 win against Leeds United. 

After making 108 appearances over the next 4 years for Everton. He continued ro play another 50 games for Everton during the war Years. 

He joined Sunderland in 1945, but didn’t make a peacetime first team appearance for them until after the Second World War, when he made 31 appearances before retiring in 1947.
