Welcome to Dan's Stamps.

This listing is for a 2 cent Washington Carmine Stamp. Scotts #301? No left perforations.

So you know, I am using the 2017 US/BNA postage catalog by HE Harris Co to identify this.  So you know I am a novice at stamps.  Read more below about that.

Feel free to reach out with questions.

----------------------------

Hello.  My name is Chris.  My father is Dan.  My dad and mum began collecting stamps together when they were very young, back when they first started dating in the early 1960s.  With help from my grandfather they learned how to collect, grade and store their collection.  They knew how to figure out all the stuff a regular collector needed to know from Perforation count to water marks.
They stopped collecting actively when my father was deployed overseas in the early 1970s and they learned that my other brother was going to be on his way.  Yes much like any young couple in love they my mother got pregnant.  Occasionally mum would save postage stamps into the collection but did not have the time to grade or deal with the stamps.
Six years passed, the collection got stored and mum had me.  At this point the collection got permanently stored.  Six years followed and my younger brother.
It wasn't until many years later that mum started collect stamps from the post.  More modern stamps.  New ones.  She squirreled them away as my father spent 100% of his time supporting his family.
In 2016 mum passed away with complications from surgery to a diabetic wound.
With all of us kids all grown up with families of our own dad decided to start clearing out stuff that he didn't have time for.
He gave me the Stamp collection this past year and asked me to sell it on his behalf.  He asked me to get as much as I could for the collection as he feels he is too old to go through everything and grade them again to find out what the collection is worth today.  He also doesn't feel that he will live long enough to realize the collections value here on ebay.  So I agreed to help dad sell the collection.  I am giving 100% of the funds minus ebay fees to my dad.  He lives a very meger life and is not rich by any means.
This is probably more information that I need to put here but I thought you should know that these stamps were very lovingly collected.  Especially the modern ones.
As such.  With all of the modern stamp sheets I am going to list them at face.  Where they go from there is up to you.
With the single stamps I will go a small percentage over face.

Good luck.  Ask questions if you wish.
Chris.
