Offering comfortable and affordable accommodation for both couples and families alike in a superb location, over two floors this traditional terraced town house apartment is in the heart of the conservation zone of Kirkcudbright a few doors up from the castle and harbour and close to all facilities making it ideal for a week away or just a short break . 

The town is an excellent coastal holiday base on the estuary of the river Dee with much to do both in Kirkcudbright and close by. It is a  short walk from the house is the National Trust's Broughton House, Historic Scotland's McClellans Castle,  the Marina and the romantic Greyfriars Church all together with the bustling life of Kirkcudbright Harbour with its wide variety of Art Galleries, Tea Rooms, Shops and wide variety of places to eat and drink . There are many superb beaches within a very short drive from the Town some only a couple of miles away and a wide variety of hill and coastal walks from straight from  Castle Street itself . Watch the boats in the harbour, or see the sunset over the bay. So many of our visitors return very quickly. 

Kirkcudbright is a well-established base for art lovers and known locally as 'Artists Town 'with many galleries ( the newly converted Town Hall Gallery is of National importance ) exhibiting major art works. The town is well known for its abundance of summer events ( Don' t miss the Thursday night Scottish night in the harbour ) and there are activities for all age groups from the Cocoa Bean Chocolate factory ( for the children), the  Cream of Galloway Ice Cream factory with its walks and adventure play , the town has a great golf course and superb waterside walks perfect for a wind down. 

Outwith the town there are several beaches all withing within easy reach at Dhoon Bay, Sandgreen, Bighouse Bay and Carrick to name a few and the lovely market towns of Castle Douglas and Newton Stewart great places to visit to visit. Nearby Gatehouse of Fleet if a haven for walkers including the Cally woods and the ancient Oak forests to the north of the town. Enjoy exploring the beautiful Solway Coast (Rockliffe and Kippford ) and inland the Galloway Forest Park which is renowned for its outdoor activities including mountain biking, sailing, walking and wildlife watching with the well-established Red Kite Trail where you are guaranteed to see one of these fascinating birds.
