I have here for sale a book entitled THE BOOK OF DAYS A Miscellany of Popular Antiquities in connection with the Calendar including Anecdotes, Biography, & History, Curiosities of Literature, and Oddities of Human Life and Character, edited by R Chambers and published by W and R Chambers, London in 1879.  Illustrated title pages and many engravings throughout both volumes.  Vol I covers Jan-June, Vol II covers July-Dec with a several stories/accounts for every day of the year. Written in double column format.  Index at the back of Vol II.

Half brown leather on brown hardboards with 5 raised bands, black stamped motifs, red leather title and black leather author/volume blocks both with gilt lettering to the spines.  Some rubbing to the spines and corners.  A few scratches to the cloth.  All boards firm.  Marbled endpapers and page edges.  Pages clean and firmly bound.  Vol I - 832 pages; Vol II- 840 pages including index.  27 x 19 cm.

Postage will be by Air Mail outside of UK.  If you buy more than one item then the postage cost falls for the second and further items as I will put them into one parcel - so you save money.
