I have here for sale a book entitled ANTIQUARIAN AND TOPOGRAPHICAL CABINET, Containing a Series of Elegant Views of the Most Interesting Objects of Curiosity in Great Britain [by JAMES STORER AND JAMES GRIEG] Accompanied with Letter-Press Descriptions VOL X published for the Proprietors by W Clarke; J Carpenter; C Chapple, etc., etc., London, in 1811.  First edition.  The book is written by James Storer and James Grieg, two topographical artists known for their engravings of ancient architecture and topography. Volume X includes 49 full-page b/w plates of places such as Knaresborough Castle; Windsor Castle; Stonehenge; Salisbury; Bridgenorth Castle; and Exeter.  There is also an illustrated title page.

Tan calf leather boards with a decorative gilt border.  Minor marks and scuffing to the boards.  Gilt bands on the spine.  Heavy wear to the spine with parts missing.  Marbled page edges.  Name of previous owner on the prelim.  Light foxing to pages.  All pages are firm and the book is in very good condition.  Unpaginated.  16 x 10 cm.
