Antique Victorian Trade Card Lot of 9
Burdock Blood Bitters

History: This trade card was originally found in an antique scrapbook of someone who lived in Derby Center, Vermont.

This is a section of cards that was glued together on the scrapbook where both sides were worth saving so I did not sacrifice the back of one. I left all the cards in this group on the original page.

On both sides there are small rectangular cards that seem to be from memorials for people. A large card for Burdock Blood Bitters is in the center featuring a striking woman with her profile turned to the right wearing a feathered hat.

Condition of the cards: The glue they used to attach the card to the page was not water soluble (I tried soaking one from the book to see). I have cut the card out of the scrapbook but left the scrapbook page on the back. So know that the reverse image shows the scrapbook paper and not the condition of the back of the card. The scrapbook paper might even have another card image glued to it that was sacrificed as one card was better than the other on double sided pages. The card will have glue on the back but most likely also writing pertaining to the company making the card but I cannot show you. I decided it was better to keep the card and ink as close to original condition from the scrapbook as possible and this is why I am selling as is. This gives you the option to have a conservator or you properly remove it from the scrapbook page if you wanted to.

The cards are as is. Please see pictures for condition and size.
