Two paperback titles by Terry Waite, both signed by the author.

Taken on Trust is a heart rending account of how after being taken hostage in Beirut he survived 1,763 days in captivity, almost four days of which were in solitary confinement.

It is published by Hodder and Stoughton.

In the second paperback memoir Terry Waite takes the reader on a guided world tour in the company of his one-time boss, former Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Robert Runcie.

It is a humourous and affectionate story of the trials and tribulations they encountered, and a delightful tribute to an enduring friendship.

Both books are hand autographed by Terry Waite and were purchased after talks by him on board the transatlantic liner QE2 during which he related numerous amusing anecdotes and interesting reflections on his fascinating life.

The books are in excellent condition, fully legible and with clean pages. They both have a paper bookplate adhered to page three attributed to the QE2 bookshop - see photos. A nice addition to any collection.
