Genuine granite graded ballast can be used for track and adding realistic details to your railway goods yard, engine shed , railway embankment etc.

Ideal for model railways , or for any scenic model layout or diorama 

Medium Grade Grey Ballast it’s ideal for track ballast or creating a finish on railway embankments , engine shed , goods shed , loco depot or adding other realistic details to your model layout or diorama. Use PVA clear drying wood glue diluted 50/50 with water and a tiny drop of washing up liquid which assists absorption into the granite or it can be used with specialist manufacturers Ballast Glues should you wish. You can apply the ballast completely dry to start with , tidy up edges , or use a proprietary ballast dispenser , then apply the glue mixture , because it’s clear drying there is nothing to worry about , just put your finger in a cloth and wipe the metal rail when finished paying particular attention around points and point blades .The ballast can then be painted if required but there will be a slight darkening of colour anyway when glued , so to further incorporate it into your current layouts appearance .

Remember when you ballast this is a genuine stone product once glued and dried go over with hoover to remove any odd surplus , and once it’s dry it is fixed firmly in position .
