The actual aircraft N571UP crashed and was destroyed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on September 3, 2010 after departing for Cologne, Germany. The cause was a fire in the forward main cargo deck. After a missed approach to land back at Dubai International, the aircraft was than directed to attempt to land at Sharjah International Airport 10 miles away from Dubai International. The aircraft subsequently crashed approx. 28-29 minutes after takeoff on the military base, Nad Al Sheba in Dubai with the sad loss of the pilot and co-pilot.
