JC Welding Services fitted a replacement battery tray and a bespoke bolt in removable rear valence for easy maintenance. Full external respray in Brilliant Orange and Westfalia pop top in white. Chassis, engine bay and underside treated with rust neutraliser then Raptor Seal, overpainted orange in the engine bay. New stainless steel roof hinges, all new roof and side window seals, wheels and bumpers powder coated white with new whitewall bus tyres. New front disc brakes and drums at the rear, new EMPI anti roll bars front and rear, new shock absorbers all round. Lowered 2 inches to fit in the garage with Red9design front coil over kit and lowered rear spring plates.

New 2110cc Engine with Vintage Speed exhaust, refurbished gearbox with longer 3rd and 4th gears by John Walklett Transmissions with Bug Tech bus short shifter. Fitted with electronic ignition and new electric fuel pump plus VW Aircooled Works fuel shutoff valve, fit and forget fuel hose kit and Fire Extinguisher system. Engine set up and tuned by Peter Burgess 138bhp, very easy to drive on modern roads with loads of torque. Always garaged when not in use.
