FOR SALE...

This sale is for a 4.25" x 6.5" studio photo of Elizabeth (Lizzie) A. Griffiths. The back writes that it was taken January 22, 1898 (on her 3rd birthday) at Angels (Angels Camp), California. Her father was Ellis Davis Griffiths. Her mother was Mary Ellen Jones. Lizzie married Lyman Tibbits. She died March 17, 1964 and is buried at Angels Camp. The significance of Angels Camp is that it was a mining community...one of the earliest ones along the Mother Lode of California. Lizzie's father, Ellis, is listed as a gold miner in the 1900 census. He was originally from Wales.

Note: My camera didn't capture the true color of the photo...it's not pink, it's a light color more like the second photo.
