Eine englische Manufaktur namens Icon Audio fertigt seit 17Jahren excellente Röhrenverstärker in diversen Ausführungen sowie einen CD-Player. Es ist inzwischen das zweite Model mit Namen CDX2.
Das besondere daran ist die Beladung von oben, also ein Toplader sowie einem Röhrenausgang, und das zu einem sehr attraktivem Preis von ehem. 1500EUR bzw. als Tuningversion SE mit ehem.1800EUR

Im Ergebnis klingt der Player sehr schön warm und analog, keinerlei digitale Härte.

An English manufacturer called Icon Audio has been producing excellent tube amplifiers in various designs and a CD player for 17 years. It is now the second model called CDX2.
The special thing about it is the loading from above, i.e. a top loader and a tube output, and at a very attractive price of 1500 EUR or as a tuning version SE with 1800 EUR

The ingredients are of good origin:

Drive technology from Sanyo
current 192kHz/24Bit upsampling DAC's
Solen capacitors in the standard version
Jensen Cupper foil caps in the SE version
Tubes 12AU7/ECC8
-PSVANE (standard version)
-NOS from GEC/Valvo in the SE version

As a result, the player sounds very nice, warm and analog, no digital harshness at all.
