A St. Vincent Signature Worthy of the BFR Label
Leave
it to Ernie Ball Music Man to create an instrument as distinct and
wonderful as the artist it celebrates. This BFR edition of the
tide-turning St. Vincent signature has been designed in close
conjunction with St. Vincent (Annie Clark) herself. Being a Ball Family
Reserve instrument, it reflects the finest craftsmanship, woods, and
electronics available across the EBMM lineup. Its striking angular lines
and black-clad custom humbuckers serve up a truly unique aesthetic and
sound. Playability-wise, the St. Vincent HH's satiny roasted maple neck
exhibits eminent playability and comfort, crowned with a glassy ebony
fingerboard and 22 perfectly sculpted high-profile medium frets to
support precision fretwork. Two custom-wound Music Man pickups — versus
earlier models' three mini humbuckers — equip this limited-edition St.
Vincent HH for the juiciest jazz chord voicings to the fiercest
high-gain crunch. And thanks to its premium black hardware, which
includes Schaller locking tuners and a deluxe EBMM tremolo bridge with
vintage bent-steel saddles, the BFR St. Vincent signature comes loaded
for the choosiest players on the planet. And for added value, each of
these incredible instruments proudly sports a hand-signed St. Vincent
back control cavity cover.
A Ball Family Reserve instrument
A
Ball Family Reserve (BFR) instrument is one that celebrates Ernie Ball
Music Man’s heritage in guitar craftsmanship. The limited-run BFR St.
Vincent HH is a supreme expression of the luthier’s art, employing the
finest figured tonewoods and finishes available. With its premium
roasted maple neck, distinctive mahogany body with broken-glass finish,
genuine ebony fretboard, and pair of custom-wound Music Man humbuckers,
the BFR St. Vincent HH is set to deliver a one-of-a-kind playing
experience.
Roasted maple neck
The
roasted maple neck and ebony fingerboard of the BFR St. Vincent HH
feature 22 frets, a 25.5" scale, and 10" radius. The neck feels great in
the hand, thanks to its St. Vincent profile and satin polyester
backing. There’s no stickiness to slow you down, and the natural
woodiness makes the instrument feel like an extension of your hand.
Along with the sculpted body heel, the overall fluidity of the neck is
extraordinary in all regards.
Parallel/series humbuckers
St.
Vincent is known for her creative style and innovative approach to tone
exploration. Her BFR signature HH reflects this, featuring two
custom-wound humbuckers, a distinctive 5-way blade with parallel and
series pickup configurations, and simple volume and tone controls
feeding a standard mono output. This impressive setup puts an expansive
array of tones and stylings at your fingertips, allowing you to explore
your own unique sound.
Schaller locking tuners
With
the Ernie Ball Music Man custom floating vibrato, you’ll get in tune
and stay there. The headstock is adorned with Schaller M6-IND locking
tuners to make string changing fast and easy. Just insert the string,
tighten the clamp screw, and tune it up to pitch. Strings won’t be wound
around the shaft, so your tuning will be reliable, no matter how hard
you play. All told, if you're looking for a great-playing collector's
axe with one-of-a-kind visuals and performance-ready tones, the BFR St.
Vincent HH is one guitar you don't want to pass up.
