This piece has been COMPLETELY sanded, label included for both modern look and showing.  Mediums used were acrylic paints and brushes, gloss varnish on the eyes and nose, and the rest sprayed down in matte varnish to achieve the chalky look of Breyers of old.  The male bits have also been sanded off as it has been repurposed for Breyer's famous trotter portrait horse Via Lattea.  The original vintage model lacked the tooth on its hoof that was made to keep it standing, so I had to recreate said tooth using milli-put.  A lot of love and hard work was put into this beautiful mare and she may very well make a good candidate for live showing.  Happy bidding!

PHOTOS show the brush strokes, but they are unnoticeable in person.  BRIGHT WHITE SPOTS ON EYES ARE FROM HEAVY GLOSS!

She DOES have a tiny bit you could say "overspray" on her rearend and barrel, but these tiny spots are so small they are hardly noticeable and shouldn't detract from showing and will not appear in photos as you can see.  She may also benefit from a nice bath of warm water and Dawn soap with a soft rag in case other spots are present from dirt/debris.  :)
