A Rare Item this Medal is 0ne of only 572 similar Medals awarded to senior members of the Royal Irish Constabulary as part of the commemorations for the Coronation of King George V in 1911


In the case of the Royal Irish Constabulary these medals were awarded for Long and Meritorious conduct  it has been shown by Research that the Average Age of the RIC Recipient was about 50 years old the Medal was issued un-named it is the RIC issue ( one of 572 ) The Reverse of the medal has the title ROYAL IRISH CONSTABULARY. With the Additional wording CORONATION 1911 and would have been Worn clearly on an RIC man's uniform this type were not issued with a suspender Bar  The Medal is in Excellent condition with light toneing to silver disc please see my other items as this private collection is now being sold
