1978 UK entry to The Eurovision Song Contest, "Bad Old Days" by Co-Co.
The 23rd edition of Eurovision, held in Paris, France. Twenty countries participated with Denmark and Turkey both returning to the contest. Denmark had not participated since 1966. The winner of the contest was Israel with the song "A-Ba-Ni-Bi" by Izhar Cohen. The UK finished 11th, their worst placing since 1966. The song was co-written by Stephanie De Sykes who also wrote the 1980 entry by Prima Donna. Future winner Cheryl Baker (with Bucks Fizz) was a member of Co-Co.
