Antique metal carriage lamp, probably Victorian, has a red light to the rear. I think it was an oil lamp.

Looks to be in a reasonable condition. Could be a good one for restoration, the chromed like metal work of the interior is a bit dirty, but not rusted and will clean up to a good shine, there is a bit of candle wax spots here.

The outer shell is a little battered and has some surface rust, biggest problem might be two cracked panes of glass, the bevelled glass is still tight in the frames, no holes. The manufacturer was Holmes and co of Lichfield.

It is quite large; 58 cm long overall, and the body is 14 cm by 12 cm.

Please see the photos for a better idea of condition.

Thankyou for looking.
