Vintage Jaques Travel Chess Set in Green Leatherette Case

This is an early 20th Century travel Chess game made circa 1930's-40's.

The game board measures 10cm x 10cm which is divided into 64 playing squares. They have Letters and Numbers along the sides.

The pieces are White and Red and each colour includes 8 x Pawns, 2 x Rooks, 2 x Knights, 2 x Bishops, 1 Queen & 1 King.

The board is fixed to the bottom half of the travel box, with spaces at each end to store your captured pieces, covered in a faux snakeskin material.

The lid lifts with two clasps at the front to hold it closed (one clasp is missing) otherwise 100% complete.

When the lid is closed it will hold the pieces on the board so a game in progress can be continued later.

The box measures approx. 15cm by 11.5cm by 3cm, there is some light wear but overall it is in excellent condition.
