Panasonic NV-GS15 Digital Video Camcorder with Battery - Faulty/Spares/Repair

The screen does not work properly, it just comes up blank, the backlight is working as it lights up but doesn't show anything on screen.
When a tape is inserted and played, the sound can be heard just fine but still no image is displayed.
Battery is untested.
There is a fair amount of marks and scratches to the unit and battery.
Battery is included but I don't have a charger to test it.
Main unit was tested using a universal adapter.
