Made in England Classic 28 inch wheel Rod Brake Roadster and 3 Speed Sturmey Archer Touring Bike. In the three speed world this is often considered the top of the range and King of the Road.

AKA the "Bobbie Bike." Legend has it the London Police Force used this bike to enforce the required height requirement....you meet the height requirement if you can ride the bike! It is a big bike with proper sit up and beg riding posture that gives a commanding view of the road.

These were originally designed in the late 1800s for rutted dirt roads and today are ideal on gravel paths, canal paths and greenways and paved streets.

Lightly used and in rare very fine condition 28 inch wheel Raleigh Tourist DL-1 Bobbie Bicycle.  Not perfect but very nice with bright clean chrome and shiny paint. Some marks and minor flaws here and there from the years that are touched up. Brooks B72 Leather Saddle is in excellent preowned condition. Lamp may need work to function but looks great. Fresh Tires and Grips. Raleigh pedals with replaceable rubbers.  Gear hub works like a champ with all metal trigger shifter. Extra large 24 rear cog installed for easier hill climbing.
