Constructed of wood with a rubber band resonator, the Wind Wand is twirled with the handle, creating a variety of interesting sounds. This model has 2 separate shafts, spreaders and bands, making it tunable to an infinite number of differing pitches. See my classic single Wind Wand and replacement bands also on Ebay! * I got tired of low quality dowels available at box stores and local stores alike, so I invested in a dowel maker from Canada, and make all my own materials for these now. I use wood I have scavenged from crates and pallets, some from exotic locations, so sometimes the shafts are various types of mahogany, sometimes domestic poplar, oak or maple. I now also turn all the larger dowels on a lathe, since the quality is so much better, so there is some wood color variation from the picture above. All the instruments I list are hand made by me.
