A Pictorialist that sent Photographs around the United states and Internationally to Juried Solons.He participated in over 100 of these from the mid 1920s - 1930s.  The grandson of James Cremer known for his Stereoviews such as The Liberty Bell. Harry’s father, Frank R. Cremer was also a photographer. H. R. Cremer lived in Wilmington, Delaware shortly after high school graduation.  He attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts for two years.  Photography was a serious hobby, and he began exhibiting his work in 1924.   He was a member of the Photographic Society of America and President of the Brooklyn Institute of Arts,   Photography Department (now the Brooklyn Museum).
