Glorious Patterdale Terrier featured in a poised position. It’s origins can be traced back to the Old English Terrier which was the original Black Terrier.

Mainly bred in the North of England by Poachers. Very popular in the Lake District, hunting in the fells for Red Fox also very popular in the North East of England.

Patterdales would flush the Foxes from rocky crevices where digging was not always possible.

In later years the Patterdale entered the USA where he was used in the hunting of Fox, Racoon & Ground Hogs.

These beautiful looking dogs are fearless and very loyal. There is nothing better looking than a Patterdale with a shiny black coat, truly stunning.
