The 5th Thunderbirds Annual was released late into 1971, to maximise Christmas sales. As far as the publishers were concerned, it was a disaster. Disappointing sales resulted in a very short print run and a temporary end to the Thunderbirds annual. Very few survive today, making this a rare annual for collectors to find.

Condition

Good used laminated pictorial boards with wear to the edges and corners of the boards, damage and creasing to tight spine, both hinges are worn and creased but still hold firm, 62 pages : illustrations (chiefly color) ; 26 cm, clean and bright pages with xmas message dated 1971 to fep, no other inscriptions, page 17 has a 1 inch tear to bottom edge, unclipped (50p net), no dust jacket (as issued).
