1950s Elgin American Floral Gold-Tone Clamshell Compact w Puff - Estate Treasures

This vintage 1950s gold-tone Elgin American floral compact is in excellent condition , but does have two small scuffs to the cover .

The gold tone compact measures 3-1/2" across the front x 2-5/8" along the sides x 1-5/8" along the back . The cover is in a two-tone rose gold and green gold floral design .  The mirror is in very good condition with no damage . The powder reservoir is secured with a pressure release tab and includes a puff , but it is not the original . The clam shell case is secured with a pressure release tab that closes with good snap . Marked "Elgin American Made In U.S.A." on the reservoir cover . Overall condition is excellent and this particular style was one of the most popular during its time . A fine addition to your vintage compact collection !
