Vintage Artisan Miniature Dollhouse Porcelain Jointed Antique Style Girl Doll
This precious, vintage porcelain little girl doll is an antique-style sweetheart made of all porcelain with jointed arms and legs. She has traditional hand painted features including multi-stroke eyebrows, and red lips. She is wigged in elbow-length hair styled in bologna curls topped with a bonnet made of antique lace with silk ribbon bows. She is dressed in a tiny matching antique lace dress. Her painted black shoes and white stocking legs complete her look. She is from the Madame Y Collection in Kanagawa, Japan (story below)

This fabulous piece belonged to, Madame 'Y', who lives in Kanagawa, Japan. For many years I have enjoyed a friendship with Madam Y. Her love of miniatures and her vast knowledge of artisans was something that we enjoyed talking about. Over the years I watched in awe as her collection continuously grew, she even had to expand her beautiful home on the sea just to house her collection of some of the finest miniatures in the world. When she decided to sell her collection, she contacted me so that I could tell her story and the story of each piece she has acquired, over all these years. Her hope is to find a home and share the story of every single piece. We have just begun to receive the boxes, all wrapped so well as they were all very special to her. She wanted others to know these incredible artisans, many she has met in person, from countries all over the globe and it is her hope that you will get to know them too, as we list them one by one. We thank Madame Y for trusting us, it is an honor to share them with others who love artisan miniatures as much as we do.
