Here's a nice OEM 45 rpm single play adapter for your Dual turntable. It fits fine in my 1229 and 1218 changers, and should work with many other 12xx series Dual changers; it's not a complex part.
This would be a great OEM replacement/spare/insurance policy for your classic Dual; don't let it get away!
