The Revstar series that has arrived this time is the latest series of Yamaha electric guitars announced in 2015, and is a model that combines vintage Narux and modern sounds, and is supported by many players.
The RSS20 is a standard model of Revster that uses maple for the top and mahogany for the back.It is available in 6 colors inspired by cafe racers, and has a binding and a luxurious design. .
Equipped with a chambered body, carbon fiber inserted neck, 5-position selector, and focus switch, it offers a wide variety of highly practical sound variations.
The chamber has been processed based on Yamaha's acoustic analysis process, Acoustic Design, to achieve rich sound and a lighter body.
Furthermore, by inserting carbon material into the neck, rigidity and sound quality are improved.
The pickup is equipped with Yamaha's original humbucker VH5 using Alnico V.
The selector is 5-way, and in the halftone position you can get the halftone sound of a normal single coil guitar without reducing the volume.
The push-pull of the tone knob is Yamaha's original focus switch, which has the effect of increasing the number of windings on the pickup, allowing for aggressive tone changes that emphasize the mid-low range.
The basic sound has a wide range without any difficult peaks or quirks. Although there is no treble component that hurts the ears, the sound penetrates forward firmly thanks to the abundance of overtones.
In addition, the pickup has an excellent response that evens out the grain of the sound, allowing the nuances of the player's fingertips to be reflected in the tone.
The frets are made of jumbo stainless steel.
The nice thing about it is that the neck is neither too thin nor too thick, making it easy to press, and the stainless steel frets prevent fret loss.
