Oil on canvas. Signed G.E to the lower right. Signed Gorm Eriksen on the back. Titled Energi/ Energy and dated 89. Large impressive expressionist composition, filled with bold colors. A fine oil by Danish painter, William Erle ( 1878-1967) A certificate of authenticity will be included with this work.
Condition:
Ready to hang. In good condition with no holes, tears or missing paint. The oil could use a light cleaning, due to the old age. Otherwise fine. The frame has minor scratches due to the age.
Gorm Eriksen ( 1940-2022)
Listed Danish modernist painter. Trained as a lithographer and graphologist and debuted in 1969 as a painter at Charlottenborg's Spring Exhibition and the Artists' Autumn Exhibition and has since exhibited in countless places at home and abroad. He paints in an expressionistic and colorful style. He has produced a large number of lithographs, serigraphs and copper prints.
