This beautiful medal is the 1975 official bronze restrike by the Paris Mint - Monnaie de Paris - commemorating the end of the 100 Years' War in 1455.

The medal, known as the "Calaisienne," honors French King Charles VII's triumph over the English.
An original example was sold for an impressive 340,000 CHF (approximately 370,000 USD) at auction by Swiss auction house Lugdunum in June 2021.

The restrikes respects the original diameter of the 1455 medal - 69mm.

The medal is in a Large PCGS Holder and graded SP67.
