This is a miniature pewter figure depicting a miner panning for gold atop a mountain of pyrite stone (fool's gold). It is approximately 1.2" H x 1.6" L x 1" W. As for its provenance and year of creation, I have no idea when to even guesstimate this was created. So, with that said, its sole flaw is that there is residue on the bottom of the piece that looks like something was once attached, likely to prevent scraping. It's tiny but a very intriguing work of art.
