I have here for sale a book entitled JUVENILIA: Being a Second Series of Essays on Sundry Aesthetical Questions by VERNON LEE Vols I & II combined published by T Fisher Unwin, London, in 1887.  First edition.  Here we have a collection of writings by Violet Paget who used the pseudonym Vernon Lee.  Volume I includes the essays "The Lake of Charlemage"; "Botticelli at the Villa Lemmi"; "Rococco"; "Prosaic Music and Poetic Music"; and "Apollo the Fiddler".  Volume II includes the essays "The Immortality of the Maestro Galuppi"; "Perigot"; "Lombard Colour Studies"; "Signore Curiazio"; and "Christkindchen".

Lee's weird fiction earned the praise of Montague Summers, who equated her talent to that of M. R. James. "Lee's stories are really in a category by themselves. Intelligent, amusingly ironic, imaginative, original, they deserve more than the passing attention that they have attracted." - Sullivan (ed), The Penguin Encyclopedia of Horror and the Supernatural, pp. 256-57.
