A fine example of an antique Ross Presentation Bar Limb Microscope. Dating to Circa 1848 with serial No.260.

This fine microscope was presented to William Keddie a well respected Glaswegian Scientist and editor. 1809-1877.


The outfit is complete with 2x Ross objectives (pre RMS) as pictured and twin ocular’s. As well as stage forceps and a cased Lieberkuhuns . The lacquer is in fine condition with original patina both fine & course focusing are working well. Plano concave mirror in good order.

The final image gives a good idea of the size of this hefty microscope pictured next to a turn of the century Zeiss.
