Wingnut Wings was started by film director Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings, King Kong). Jackson has a life-long passion for plastic models, and has extensively used miniatures in many of his movies. Unfortunately, Wingnut has since gone out of business and they are no longer producing kits, making them a rarity. Even though they have been out of production for years, these models are still the most detailed, high-tech WWI airplane kits available.
