For auction is this Vintage PARKER VACUMATIC Blue Diamond Clip Black with Gold Stripe Fountain Pen.  It measures 5" long with the cap on.  The nib appears to be in excellent condition and is stamped PARKER U.S.A., and has the Proper Parker Arrow.   The Nib tests 18K Gold but it is not marked.  The Clip and Band on the top both test 14K Gold but are probably Gold Filled.  The side of the pen is branded GEO. S PARKER  VACUMATIC MADE IS U.S.A. with a date code of 6 with a dot on both sides and below indicating the first quarter of 1946.  The cap on the top of the pen unthreads to expose the plunger that appears to be functional with normal bladder resistance.  There is wear on the pen but no cracks, bite marks, splits, or monograms.  The cap has a surface irregularity adjacent to one of the cap breather holes and two smaller similar defects to the top right of the Clip.  Weight .6 oz.  cbv.603304
