Italy: The New Domestic Landscape: Achievements and Problems of Italian Design Ambasz, Emilio New York, NY, 1972 25cm; English language; 421 pages,

Groundbreaking exhibition on Italian design at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, from May 26 to Sept. 11, 1972. Laid the way and documented the new radical design coming out of Italy from the mid 1960s onwards. Beautiful catalogue with all five 'design objects' in between the transparent glassine wrapper and the cover (the idea being that you can redesign the cover as can be seen in the last images where I have included other copies I have sold). Edited by Emilio Ambasz and contains works by the following Gae Aulenti, Mario Bellini, Joe Columbo, Enzo Mari, Massimo Vignelli, Superstudio, Archizoom, etc.

Condition: Fading and marks to the glassine wrapper especially on the spine. Contents slightly age toned. Spine cracked at front and rear. Some spotting to the binding edges and page ends.
