Antique Merchant’s Box Tansu SIGNED

This box is very unique!

The top lifts off to reveal writing on the bottom side. I cannot decipher the characters and my Google translate gives me too many different answers.

The box itself is assembled with wood dowels as well as iron brads or nails.

All the metalworking looks to be handmade.

This chest of drawers is a very nice example of a cashiers box from long past.

A true classic!
